Bela no País das Maravilhas is a children's book I illustrated for a client who wanted to bring her written story to a visual experience.

The tale follows Bela, a girl who feels different because she communicates with her hands instead of using for words.

As she follows a rabbit into a magical world where creatures teach her Libras ( the Brazilian sign language). Through newfound friendships and acts of love, Bela learns that connection and understanding can overcome any obstacle.
